Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Sports Insight mobile app and website (“Sports Insight”, “we”, “us”) handle information. Sports Insight is a free sports-information service for football, basketball and tennis. We are committed to collecting as little data as possible.
1. No account, no sign-in
Sports Insight does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide a name, email, phone number or password to use the app. You can browse scores, schedules, standings and news anonymously.
2. Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or payment information.
- We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.
- We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs in the app.
3. Information stored on your device
Your favorites, match reminders and language preference are stored locally on your device only. They are not transmitted to us and are removed when you delete the app.
4. Notifications
If you choose to set a match reminder, the app requests permission to send you a local notification before kick-off. This notification is scheduled on your device; we do not run a remote push service tied to your identity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
5. Information processed to provide the service
To show scores, schedules, standings and news, the app requests data from our backend API, which in turn aggregates data from third-party sports-data providers. These requests include standard technical information such as your IP address and the type of request, which may be processed transiently in server logs to operate and secure the service. We do not use this information to build a profile of you.
6. Third-party data sources
Sports content (scores, fixtures, standings, news, team and player names and logos) is sourced from third-party sports-data providers. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those providers. News article images and links may point to external publishers.
7. Children’s privacy
Sports Insight is a general-audience information app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Data security
Connections between the app and our API are intended to be served over encrypted HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.
9. Your choices
Because we do not maintain personal accounts or profiles, there is generally no personal data to access, correct or delete on our side. To remove all locally-stored data (favorites, reminders, language), simply uninstall the app.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page.
